The Tri-Parish Open Cupboard Food Pantry is a resource in our community for people who live with food insecurity. People with food insecurity are people who are either unable to acquire enough food to meet their needs, or uncertain where their next meal might come from. Food insecurity exists in our communities.
The purpose of the Open Cupboard Food Pantry is to provide people with a little extra help during the month. They will recieve a meal box that has everything to make a meal for themself or their family. Meal boxes will also include common staple items.
The next pickup days are Tuesday:
1:00 - 3:00 PM pickup time
At Thanksgiving and Christmas 2020, a group of parishioners involved in community outreach and evangelization created meal boxes for people in our community. Thanksgiving meal boxes included a turkey breast, and the Christmas meal box included a ham.
Inspiration for Open Cupboard sprung up out of the positive effects from these two events.
